Birds in my garden.

I've got this family of blackbirds in the garden there are 5 young ones and their parents.  They must have nested close by and moved in on us once they hatched.  They spend the whole day in our garden eating and drinking the water I put out for them.   I did not know they drank so much until we had a long dry spell lately and I thought they might be thirsty so I put out a shallow dish for them and they have been with me ever since.  They are great to watch there seems to be one dominent one and he won't share with any of the others.   Hope I have not rambled on too much about bird as it will only get worse as I start going out birding again.  OK back to sitting in the sun wth my Jeffrey Archer Book.

Saturday goings on.

Well Saturday again, they seem to come round more quickly now I have retired.  The one thing I miss is the Friday Night feeling 'weekend at last' but I will manage without it.  Went up to Perth today shopping and spent too much as usual. We don't go up town much on Saturdays now as it is much more pleasant during the week when it is more peaceful.  When we came back watched Big Brother for a while but they where all sleeping as per so I thought I would come up and make an entry in my journal.   The weather has not been nice this week very dull with one days rain I know thats not as bad as down south but we were enjoying all the sunshine we have had during July most unusual for Scotland as the sun can be a bit scarce.

I would love to know how other people with journals do the moving graphics if anyone can tell me that would be great as I am a bit of a beginner on the computer.  Well I will close now and go and see what my better half is up to.

This and that.

Starting something new is always difficult sharing a journal is extra difficult but I will try to keep it interesting.    I have been retired for about 7 months and still getting used to being at home all day.  When the weather is good it is easy.   We have a garden to tend and we like to go out birdwatching or even twitching if there is anything rare about.   Its just about time for the migration to start again when all the birds that have been up the the Arctic come back down after they have finished breeding so it gets busy after the quiet of the summer.   If I am sitting in the garden I love to read at the moment I am just finishing 'The Big Bad Wolf' by James Patterson have really enjoyed it.   I've got a newish Jeffrey Archer sitting ready to start. I love to have books waiting to be read.  Well thats it for today I had better go and see about tidying the kitchen as we have just had out tea.  Hope tomorrow is a better day.
