Wedding picture and Monday

Hello, as promised here is a picture of the happy bride and groom. It was a lovely wedding one of the best I have ever been to. K’s dress was beautiful and suited here perfectly. Unfortunately my photographs were rubbish I am ashamed to say. It was not all my fault the lady sitting infront of me at the service was a real pain. Every time I went to take a photo as I clicked she held up her camera in front of her so I have her hands on most of my pictures. Never mind the one cutting the cake was OK.

So today is the autumn Equinox it seems not time at all since the Summer Solstice. At last we have had some sunshine the last couple of days. I have noticed in journals from south of the border that you are all pulling out you summer bedding, we must be behind you up here as ours is still looking good it must be because ours is a bit later than yours starting to flower so we get a bit extra at this time providing we don’t get an early frost. I don’t mind Autumn and Winter I like the cold weather if it is dry I don’t think I would like it if I lived somewhere that the seasons did not change.

Have been feeling a bit down this morning as we have not been able to get away as we usually do on Mondays. We planned the day away but Stuart had forgotten that he had a dentist appointment late this morning so by the time he got back it was a bit late for a run out in the car. Never mind we will get the grass cut this afternoon once it has dried off after the overnight dew. I think that’s about it for today so till next time. Love

I can handle the cold but the wind, ice and snow that accompany our winters is bone chilling to say the least and the lack of daylight hours always makes me just want to sleep the winter away.  I have to get up and out each day to go to work so I'm hoping that we don't get too much bad weather.  We are to have a sunny warm week here.  I'm enjoying these lovely days best I can .   Sorry you couldn't get out today, hopefully you can do that soon.  'On Ya' - ma

Congratulations to the bride and groom.  What a lovely photo!

I still have some bedding plants in bloom simply because we have had so much rain I suppose.  I also made sure they got deadheaded to keep them flowering.  Still there are some which have escaped my scissors...but I can't be bothered now that the weather is getting cooler.
Where did summer go this year?
Hope you get out and about soon.
Hugs

It has been a lovely weekend here Joan and I did lots of gardening too.My geraniums I think have been the largest and best I have ever had this time.Pots and tubs all emptied though now,as they were neglected a little with all the holiday breaks this year I have had.So planting slow rockery and evergreen minatures next time int he tubs and pots so they can look after themselves next year whilst I am away. LOL!! What a lovely picture of your neighbour.Much happiness to them both and I am glad you had a wonderful time.Sorry to read you missed your Monday outing.Cool hear today so I have been busy indoors.Take Care God Bless Kath astoriaand http://journals.aol.co.uk/astoriasand/MYSIMPLERHYMES

Lovely photo Joan, as I said the other day, it`s very romantic. :o) My Summer bedding was still looking good but because I have some plants that need to go in before Winter I decided that I had to sacrifice some of them. Unfortunately the poor old cosmos just had to go though I felt bad because they were doing so well. My dahlias on the other hand will carry until the first frost when I will lift the tubers and store them. I also like the cold weather as long as it`s dry, it`s the wind and rain that I can`t stand....brrrr! :o(

What a lovely bride and groom Joan!  I love her dress.  We have been finally able to get a bit done in our garden as we had had a few days without rain.  It ended up raining again late in the day yesteday though.  It really has been a rubbish summer weatherwise this year!
We kept waiting to get some summer weather and now look, it's autumn!
