Good Morning, it has been very cold this morning the temperature was just 2 degrees outside this morning that about 35F so very cold indeed. When I went out about 11am slept late this morning for some reason and not up till after nine o'clock the birdbath was still frozen that's the first time this autumn and the grass was white earlier on. Think the reason I am sleeping long is the pain killers I am taking for my sore back make me a bit of a sleepyhead in the morning but it was nice to lie in.
Stuart has had a busy morning he decided to clean out my store cupboard for me and oh the things you find that forgot you had bought is quite wonderful things get put to the back of the cupboard and forgotten about so now all is in order (Stuart's) so I will know where everything is!
We are hoping to get out into the garden to potter this afternoon once it has become a bit warmer with the lovely sunshine we have. This has been a great Autumn of us here in Scotland bright sunshine and dry we are so used to damp weather at this time its lovely to see the dry leaves at your feet and hear them as you walk along.
I bought a little fancy birdhouse on Monday in St Andrews its just ornamental but I think I will wait till spring before I put it outside as I would not like it to get ruined over the winter.
Think that's about all my news for today catch you later AOL allowing, it has been a terrible week with journals and if I have not visited you I am sure you know the reason why. Love

How lovely of Stuart to tidy up the store cupboard ,wow a frost ,thats what the farmers are praying for to kill of the midges ,that are causing the blue nose thing in animals..I hope your back is feeling better ...love Jan xx
Soorry your back is giving you such discomfort. Also sorry about your cold weather. We are in Florida now and it is still very warm here. We gave up cold weather about 7 years ago. LOL Don't over due the garden work with your back. Dawn

It has been very cold here too Joan.Yes very sunny too, it is now,but I have had that sicky bug,so I am in for a couple of days.I too have slept more, but through the daytime LOL on the drug the chemist gave me.I am feeling pretty tired right now,seeing as I have been up since 4am.I did all my cuboards out last week.You are right it is amazing what we have and forget about Haa.I should keep your birdhouse inside until after winter .Sometimes the wet winters warp them.I agree on AOL Gr.Have a lovely day Take Care God Bless Kath

Joan it has been cold here as well ~ but not as cold as you have it there ~ Hope that back of yours gets better soon ~ glad Stuart has cleaned out your store cupboard isn't it wonderful what treasures you find at the back of a cupboard ~ hope you get the chance to get out in the garden ~ I do love the Autumn it is such a wonderful time of the year ~ nice to know you are getting some nice sunny and dry weather ~ the birdhouse sound nice ~ AOL has been a bit of a downer this past week ~ hopefully it will improve ~ Ally x
we've had some cold weather but is warmer today although we are expecting storms later and for the next couple of days too they say. I was doing a bit of yard work today but now have to wait for my husband to go and dump the refuse so I have to wait to do more..... I have an excuse, lol Hope your back is getting better and you still get some warmer days, Sandra
I'm glad you had a good lie in Joan, I hope it made your back feel better. It's also nice to hear it's been dry up there, am I hoping to much by wishing it'll stay dry till I've been to visit?! Sounds cold but I'd rather have cold than rain. Can you send Stuart down please, I've a few cupboards I'd like tidied out! Jeannette xx
