This and that.

Thank you Donna for the Graphic

Good Morning, I hope you are well this morning it has just turned twelve so I suppose its afternoon now I just cannot get my inward clock to change. This is the first time I have had a minute all week being retired is such a busy time its worse than working at times.  This morning we have been doing a clean up of the PC and so far its off and running really well. Has anybody else noticed the lack of speed after four o'clock its a nightmare for me and that's often when I am up here trying to catch up on alerts and emails. Last night it took me over an hour to read seven alerts it was a nightmare but things are better this morning. Not a very nice morning we have had rain overnight  and it is not very warm either. No plans for the rest of today as we don't seem to have stopped since Monday, I think its time for a lazy day and with the rain I will not feel so guilty.
There is new courtroom drama started on channel five on Thursday nights called 'Shark' we watched the first one last week and it was very good maybe worth a look if you like that kind of program.
Think I will head off now and make some lunch for us and see what's what for the afternoon.  Hope the alert works for this entry as it did not on Monday. Love  and hope you have a nice day.

Hi Joan, the alert came to me at least! I had awful trouble last night with slow running. I was trying to email a co-worker and just couldn't get it to send! They must have thought me rude when I didn't reply! I'll have to explain when I get to work about AOL! It's grey and chilly here today after a gorgeous day yesterday. Have a good weekend! I have found in the past on my old computer which broke after tea was a nightmare, like you say Joan.I have had no problems with this new one though.Only when alerts are down AOL grrrrrrrrr like they were Monday. When many didin't get my posting.I hope they aren't down today for some people ,as I have just done a new post and I feel when we make the effort and people do not get them .Its a waste of time.Sunny here today started off dull, but pretty nice now.
Happy to read your pooter is fine.Didn't see the program but I will have a look next episode see what I think.Have a great day .Take care God Bless.

Hi Joan my computer was running so slow this morning if it had been any slower it would have stopped ~ so I switched it off and started again and it seems OK now ~ (well for a little while anyway) being retired is very busy work I agree with you ~ makes you wonder how you ever had time to go out to work :o) ~ and yes I did get your alert for this ~ Ally

Hello Joan,  I watched `Shark` last week and will definately watch it again this week, it was really good stuff.  A friend of mine told me that since she retired she never has any time to herself either:o)

I remember my Aunt telling me, once she was retired, that she was thinking of applying for a little part time job, but she could never find the time to fill in the application form!  Glad your PC is behaved itself for it's clean up, I did notice this evening that mine was running slow, so I'm glad it's not just me!!

I'm still labouring on with dial-up, until we hopefully get a house move later this year. I don't care where I end up any more, so long as it's a cosy little bungalow with gas heating and Broadband! A snail would go weak at the knees, at the thought of crawling onto aol. Keep laughing.
Love Sylvia xx

Hi Joan I agree with you about retirement, But it is nice to be able to please yourself what you do, and when to do it,  that is the difference.  I too have been having trouble with the computer this week, I haven't been able to connect.  I have been cut off all the time, and had to reinstate the new router I have, and that seem to do the trick (I hope)  No I didn't see that programme "Shark" but will look out for it next week. I do enjoy things like that. bye for n ow Kathie.
