The Wednesday Outing

Greetings from a very tired lady, We have been out Christmas shopping all day and I am exhausted. It has been very cold and the white frost has stayed all day and has started to come down again we caught upon with the gritting lorry as we drove home so they are surely expecting more tonight. Who need snow its pure white now without any.   I don't mind the shopping its the carrying the bags back to the car I hate by the time we got back to the car we were both pretty shattered dear not meaning to mump and moan I enjoyed my day and managed to get some shopping done.  I have not managed to see the Christmas light in Perth's main streets yet as the light are never on early enough for us the ones in the indoor Mall are lovely although I don't particularly like pink as the main colour for the Christmas Tree. Call me old fashioned if you like.  In one shop today I had a very nice assistant I had one roll of Christmas paper in my basket and she told me the paper was now buy one get one free and sent another assistant to get another for me, She said she had two staff off sick and had not had time to put up a sign, I thought it was very nice of her to tell me she did not have to and many would not have. Well its that time again to go and make the dinner feeling very hungry after all our traipsing about Have an nice evening Love,

Glad that you had a successful trip. I agree with you about the pink colour.  I am traditional, maybe it is an age thing, but I like red, green, gold, silver.  We have it quite mild here and the prospect of snow at Christmas is receding every day.  It was very nice of that assistant because many would not have said anything. How nice to get good old fashioned service.

I'm just as old fashioned as you are...and you've just proved Christmas shopping doesn't have to be painful, carrying bags doesn't count!

I'm old fashioned too, I much prefer green's and red's and gold's for Christmas :O)  Glad you had a successful shopping trip, it is tiring though isn't it, mentally and physically.  Hope you had a nice relaxing evening.
