Yuk

In the globe is a Great Northern Diver.

Good Afternoon, I have just been looking out of the window and what a mess we have. We had about an inch of snow during the night and early morning but now the rain has come on and we have just got one big mess. I hate slush it is absolutely horrible. I all looked so pretty this morning when we came down.  On our bird table there were three blackbirds huddled  up together trying to keep dry and warm. We have never seen that before it must have been a very cold night. I would like to take this opportunity to send a get well message to Jeannette who is feeling very poorly today and is having bother getting the help she requires. Prayers and good wishes Jeannette if you read this.  Don't think we will be going out today as it is looking pretty miserable out there. I hate when we are stuck in the house for a whole day but fortunately it is not often we have to do this. Had a short visit this morning from Richard and Ellen which was a nice surprise Lisa was having her hair done as they are all going away for the New Year Celebrations to a nice hotel hope they have a good time as they both work so hard .Richard will be very happy as he will get to give his highland rig an airing at the Hogmanay Do. Well that about it for just now but you never know what might crop up later that I can share with you. Love and  Hugs

I am considering getting Rob a kilt for tomorrow nights gig from the dress hire people, he does not know yet but I have one reserved for him! He will be having his wee dram at the bells as the band stay quiet at the countdown! Will be thinking of you both and will have a drink for all my J-land pals! love Joan

Afternoon Joan,  I like to watch the birds feed at our table too.  I`ve been getting quite a few pied wagtails lately, and I saw a goldfinch yesterday.  It`s very wet here, it hasn`t stopped raining all day and it`s very cold too.  :o)

Thank you so much my friend.  I was thinking about all of you today and decided I must be positive and not let the bad things get to me, it was only making me worse.  So I am trying to do what I can including visiting a few journals.  The pain is bad but it is helping me to take my mind off.  I miss you all so much if I am not able to visit.  We really do care about each other don't we and it was so nice of you to mention me, it really touched me.  You stay warm and do not venture out unless you have to.

This cold snap has brought many more varieties of birds to our garden. Love watching the Bullfinch feed on lemon balm seeds. Have Blackcaps; Long tailed, Coal, Blue  and Great Tits; Thrushes; Blackbirds; Green, Gold and Chaff Finches; Robin; Wren; Dunlings - the list goes on. I love watching them.
