The Non Christmas Shopping

Graphic by D'Design

Good Afternoon J-land, I have hade two very stressful days trying to my Christmas Shopping we went up to Perth yesterday and I came back with a book for myself a new Nelson DeMille that I wanted.  Christmas shopping wise absolutely zilch.  Today I have been to a retail outlet out near Stirling and today I came back with some tissue paper and that was it, I just cannon think of anything for anybody and it is driving me and Stuart to distraction. Enough of my bad moods its just not my week if I still got PMT I could blame that but I'll be 63 tomorrow so it can't be that.

A couple of things that has made me Merry today are Sarah did me a nice Christmas Signature and I got the link for AOL radio from Stuart over on Specimen Days and they have stations playing all kinds of Christmas music depending what you like. I have traditional playing at the moment and it is great.

Its been an awful dark grey day here today not much daylight at all which does not help back moods.  I have not been very good a Christmas since Christmas 1997 when Stuart had a heart attack at the Christmas dinner table and I always think of that at this time of year. I try to keep these feeling at bay but sometimes they do get the better of me. You see on the way to the hospital Stuart's heart stopped altogether and we had to pull over to the side of the road but thanks to the wonderful Ambulance staff they got him going again so there I have told you all why I'm like this at this time. Well I will have to go now and do some catching up to do cleaning wise.  Love to you all and take care.

Even at sixty three your body still has a cycle ,its just that there is no monthly reminder ,havent you noticed you cope better at some times of the month than others ,and can become more unreasonably moody at times ,you may have forgotten but your body hasnt ,lecture over(Im being your  big sister)Of course your apprehensive as this time of year comes round its only natural ,But come on cheer up ,youve still got him and your a birthday girl tomorrow ,put all your troubles away and have a lovely day ,bless you both .......love Jan xx    PS if it makes you feel better I not done anything yet either but we allways get there dont we ?

Joan I love Christmas music...and I love Christmas full stop...  I think the lack of Sunshine effects some of us Its called SAD....So perhaps that is what you are suffering from........hope the mood soon passes.....It is a time to rejoice as Stuart is still with you - (Ambulace staff are wonderful and highly trained)...and it's your birthday tomorrow.....Hope the day is a happy one for you....Take care and have a lovely evening...Ally

I agree with Jan about the monthly cycle.  It has never left me and I get very depressed at certain times.  As for shopping, it does not worry me, I have bought everything I needed for presents online.  I do all my shopping that way.  Nothing like the comfort of your own chair and then getting parcels delivered to your door.  I can understand your feel apprehensive but please try not to.  Make the most of it. This is a very sad time of year for me as we lost so many family members in December but I make the best of it and remember all those people who are alone for Christmas, those who have no-one and how they would love to be part of a family.

Have a big special (((((((((( Joan )))))))))) from me.
This time of year is hard on so many people, for lots of different reasons.  I hope that your mood lifts soon, and I wish you a wonderful 63rd Birthday for tomorrow.
