Good Afternoon on I think what must be the hottest day of year so far. It is 75 degrees ousting and no wind.  Now I know that I am always complaining about a cold wind but today a wee breeze would be nice or a swimming pool in the garden.  Have been busy this morning with usual household tasks and cleaning the bathroom the job I hate as it kills my back still thats it done for now.  Last week we bought a new kitchen table and four chairs  one of the ones with butterfly wings or what we would have called a  gateleg in the olden days.  We had one of the tables with the benches so we have brought the table upstairs and Stuart has rebuild it, had to take it apart to get it upstairs (remember the carry on at Christmas with the dining room table). It has made a super desk but unfortunately no drawer space so we will have to buy something to keep all our bits for the PC in will see about that tomorrow as we have to go to Perth anyway as I have a hospital appointment.  Am not ill just a HRT check up.  Stuart is sitting watching the Grand Prix so I have this time for me.  Am trying a new way of doing my journal today so I hope it works fingers crossed.  Am trying to type it in the box that Jeannette mentioned (Ctrl + n) looks fine just now so I am going to transfer now ............ that worked great and there is a spell check on it too great.  Will close now have a peaceful Sunday. Love

It's hot here but we do have a nice cool breeze ~ one of those little flat pack 3 draw chest of draws would fit nicely under your table ~ got one of those made up and it slid nicely inside one of the built in wardrobes in the downstaris bedroom and is handy for jumpers and bits and pieces ~ I do remember the carry on at Christmas with the dining room table ~ you shouldn't have that problem again with your gateleg table ~ Hope your appointment goes well at the hospital tomorrow ~ glad it is only an HRT one ~ Ally

Glad to note that everything is working out with the table, I know what it means not to be able to get things up the stairs.

By the way, thank you for the tip.  I have been trying, for a long time, to use a format where there is a spell checker.  I just hope I understand enough to be able to make it work for me.

By for now,

John.

Hi Joan,

We have a lovely breeze today which makes things so much more comfortable.  It was so hot last night that I didn`t sleep well at all, hopefully tonight will be better.  I like the lay out of your journal, can you tell me how you did it?  I remember you telling us about the table, I hope you don`t have to go through all than again! :o)

Glad you liked the Ctrl+N, it's so easy and doesn't disappear if AOL cut you off, a big bonus!! It's been wonderfully hot here today too! I'm glad Stuart managed to get the table upstairs. Hope your appointment goes well, I'm glad it's just an HRT check up. Jeannette xx
