A Bad Day.

Good Afternoon, Now you may be wondering why I have a picture of  a Rottweiler  at the top of this entry read on all will be revealed. Stuart and I were out for a walk for a paper and some odds and ends from our local supermarket. It was a lovely morning and as I was not needing anything very heavy we decided to walk round. On the way back we were walking along nice as you like when the enormous Rottweiler jumped up on a low fence barking very loudly at us. I got a bad fright and jumped on to the road this woman appeared in her dressing gown and shouted at the dog. Stuart said it could have easily have jumped the fence which was about two and a half feet high and she said it could not I said I thought it could well at that point the woman launched into the worst abuse I have ever had to take in my 64 years on this earth she called me for everything and then told my to f off. I am not used to this kind of language and have never been spoken to like this ever before. It has really upset me today and three hours later I am still fizzing.I love dogs and am not normally scared of them but I had a bad experience when I was a child and it came rushing back to me today when this dog lunged up at me. Sorry can't think of anything else today hoping writing it down will help me,   Love

Joan.

Just goes to prove that the sort of people that usually own these dangerous dogs are usually people who shouldn't own any dog at all, let alone a dangerous one!  I may get crucified for this but I think all dangerous dogs should be banned completely and not allowed to breed.
Glad you were not hurt, but wish you hadn't been assaulted verbally by an ignorant idiot!

Joan I am so sorry you had such an awful experience ~ and as for that woman verbally abusing you I think that is disgusting ~ someone like that should never be allowed to keep a potentially dangerous dog ~ I hope that by you writing it down it will help and I hope you feel better soon ~ Ally x

I am so sorry Joan for the awful fright you must have had. Who won't be frighten at a dog like that coming toward you, the last thing you needed was some woman shouting abuse at you, most upsetting. You take take Joan, people like that should not have the reponsability of caring for any animals. Kathie.

I agree with what everyone else has said. Its usually the nastiest kind of person that has the vilest breed of dog, compliments their image no doubt. She ought to have been fined for speaking to you in that way. Please dont let her upset you any longer, she just isnt worth it.
Love, Cathy.  xx

I would report the matter Joan .This lady obviously has no respect or scrupples for anyone or anything in my opinion. What if that dog had got loose over the fence and attacked.Get rang up Joan and save anything more serious happening. They will only get a caution and ask to be protected from  the family of any further things at the same time. You have the right.I am so sorry this would have upset so many of us.I am not a one to be so upset by things like this thank goodness.I must admit I can stand my ground with abuse from people like this but I am getting a little too old for the physical side now LOL.I wished I had been with you. Please take Care and I hope you soon feel better.God Bless KATH

This appalling behaviour is far too common place nowadays, her dog should have been secured, for it's own safety and yours. You should report this to the police,

Try not too think about it too much and enjoy your weekend

That is absolutely horrible!  I used to have a fear of dogs earlier in my youth, and am still frightened of rotweilers are aggressive dogs.  I'm so glad nothing worse happened in the confrontation.

That dog could definitely go over that fence!  I would have been terrified and how dare she talk to you that way!!!!  Is there anyone you can call about the dog to report the low fence?
